This policy explains what information decider.click handles, what stays on your own device, and how the cookies used by our advertising partners work.

Who operates this site

decider.click is operated by Qubzo Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Qubzo Limited is the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR. Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to info@decider.click.

What we do not collect

There are no accounts on decider.click, no sign-up and no login. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any payment detail in order to use the site. The questions you type into the decision tools are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to, or stored on, any server we control.

Information stored on your own device

Your recent decisions list is kept in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device, is readable only by decider.click within that browser, and is never sent to us. Two things clear it: the Clear Log button on the site, or clearing site data through your browser settings.

Nothing else is stored. There are no accounts, no analytics cookies and, at present, no advertising cookies.

Cookies and advertising

We intend to fund the site with display advertising. If and when that begins, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve advertisements based on your prior visits to decider.click and to other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve advertisements to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Where vendors we have not named individually serve advertisements or measure their performance, their own privacy policies govern that processing. The current list of companies Google works with is published in Google's privacy and terms for business.

Your cookie choices

No consent banner is shown at present, because no advertising cookie is set. Were advertising introduced, visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area would be shown a consent banner before any advertising cookie was set. Accepting all allows personalised advertising. Choosing non-personalised means ads are still shown, but are not based on a profile of your browsing. You would be able to change that choice at any time from a link in the footer of any page.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely through their settings. Blocking cookies does not stop the decision tools from working; they run entirely in your browser.

Legal basis for processing

Where advertising cookies involve personal data, we rely on your consent, given through the banner described above. Where you contact us by email, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to you, and we keep that correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with it.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no accounts and no server-side records of your use of the site, in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete beyond email correspondence you have sent us. Requests go to info@decider.click.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

decider.click is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
